If you’re a lover of hip-hop and R&B music and fashion, then it’s pretty safe to say you’ve admired the work of celeb stylist Tameka Raymond. She’s been instrumental in visioning looks for Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Janelle Monae, Jay Z, Nas, Chris Brown, and even soul legends Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, and Aretha Franklin, just to name a few.
The trendsetter will be bringing her secrets to looking and feeling fabulous to New York this weekend via her 14-city STYLE THEORY tour. The national series was created to inspire women and men in an intimate learning experience to find their own style and inner beauty, as well as empower them to assist others in doing the same.
“There is no other energy in the world like that of New York and when it comes to style, New York is its pulse or epicenter if you will,” said Raymond. “This workshop is for the aspiring industry artist, the soccer mom, or the stylish but stifled. We are a 360° beauty and style crash course.”
For the New York installation, Raymond along with style ambassador of InStyle Tai Beauchamp, celeb makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff and celeb hairstylist and co-owner of Styles New York Salon Carla Bone will be on hand for beauty, makeup and hair demonstrations.
STYLE THEORY will be hosted Saturday, June 20, 12 Noon to 6pm at the Westhouse Hotel. Ticket prices range from $75 – $150. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
