Cliff’s new BET digital series Wig Out launched last month, following Cliff as he works to relaunch his popular hair tours, jump into the rap game and open his first storefront in Atlanta. With cameo appearances by celebs like reality show starlets Marlo Hampton, Tammy Rivera, Lil Mo and more, he is positioned to reach an audience even larger than his 750K+ followers on Instagram.
With a beat face and a flawless wig install that threatens to snatch the edges off of anyone in his path, Cliff plans to use his platform to bring something new to the industry.
“What I’m bringing to reality TV is definitely going to be a high impact. There’s nobody that’s bringing what I’m bringing right now, that’s showing that boss side; that’s not letting anybody pushover on them and letting people know that they are about business,” the stylist told Hype Hair. “And when it comes to my looks, nobody is bringing it how I’m bringing it, honey. So you know, I’m definitely coming with a whole other angle.”
The “other angle” could have everything to do with his fearlessness – a trait that Cliff has demonstrated since picking up his first lace front. Every goal he’s set out to achieve has been accomplished in record time.
At 14 years old, he purchased mannequin heads to practice his love of hairstyling. By 16, he knew he was meant to be in the industry. Little did he know that he’d be styling the hair of celebrities like Cardi B, Joseline Hernandez
“When you’re 16 years old, you have big dreams. But where I come from, a lot of people don’t really make it out of the city, or a lot of people are not really doing anything with their lives. So I had big dreams,” he said. “I honestly didn’t know if I was gonna be able to make them happen, but I never would have thought that my life would have been how it is now.”
Just two short years ago, the styling prodigy shared his desires to be on television with Hype Hair. So he’s not surprised that the television gods chose him for this latest venture.
“I’ve always wanted to be on TV,” said Vmir. “I feel like I’m a natural. When the camera gets on, even when the camera isn’t on, you’ll just get hypnotized because of how I talk, how I handle situations. I’m very animated; I’m not dry, I’m not boring at all,” he said, with a laugh. “Being on TV is a whole other empire I’m building.”
