When news hit that Naomi Campbell was named the newest face NARS we were both excited and confused. The ageless beauty has been serving skin and beauty goals for decades, so the collabo seemed like a no-brainer. But, then reports hit that this is Naomi’s first-ever beauty campaign. Wait, what?

She’s served lewk after lewk on just about every cover we can imagine, including as Vogue’s first Black cover model back in the ’80s. She’s also served as a muse for the likes of makeup mother Pat McGrath and several fashion houses, including Burberry (alongside her mother!), but this news marks Naomi’s first official turn as the face of beauty campaign.
And, while she’s been featured in two previous NARS campaigns (in 1996 and 2004), this is Naomi’s first-ever starring role for a cosmetics brand. And she does not disappoint, serving up her flawless glow (and body goals) for the brand’s forthcoming Radiance Repowered campaign, sporting a face beat by James Kaliardos and hair by Peter Savic.
Set to hit stores next month, the campaign is (of course) centered around radiant skin and will feature the Super Radiant Booster along with foundation shade extensions and a new Skin Deep Eye Palette. Naomi will also front a campaign for the iconic Orgasm collection later in the year.
“Naomi is a living icon and brings such strong personality to the camera,” captioned François in a recent Instagram pic. “She and I are like family. I have known her since the very beginning of her career. From the start, I have admired her, her beauty, and her style.”
Slay on, queen!
