The retail giant launched the new shope last month in 10 locations across the country. You can now find Tendai’s signature Whisper Whip conditioner along with collections from her Healthy Solutions brand at the San Antonio, Texas store.

“The Market is an all-inclusive shop-in-shop concept which provides a solution to the roadblocks smaller brands face when looking to enter brick-and-mortar retail while providing customers a differentiated approach to discovering fashion, beauty, new brands and products,” Kristyn Doar-Page, Macy’s Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Strategies, told Hype Hair.

“Tendai’s products and overall brand met [our] guidelines and resonated well with Macy’s diverse customer base. We’re thrilled to offer Healthy Hair Solutions “retail as a service” at The Market @ Macy’s,” she continued.

Tendai’s Healthy Hair Solutions and Whisper Whip product will be in Macy’s Marketplace through October.

“I am one of the first Black hair products in the space,” she said, sharing that she also gets to keep 100% of her sales.

Featured products include Arganmidas Moroccan Argan Oil Clear Hydrating Sulfate Free Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner, Arganmidas Pure Moroccan Argan Oil Hair and Body Serum. “This line are great for all hair types — from kinks and coils to looser textures and even silk presses,” she said.

“This is really what I prayed for,” said Tendai of the opportunity to retail her haircare offerings.  “They are giving me the opportunity to test this out without the risk of going into to a hole — and what bigger, what better platform to test the waters than in Macy’s?”

More market pop-ups are set to open throughout the year. Tendai said her products will head to Atlanta’s Lenox Square location in November and December.
