Black Panther bae Michael B. Jordan has been tapped to served as the first face of Coach’s menswear collections. The actor will appear in marketing campaigns for ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrance for the men’s spring 2019 collections.
In addition to serving as the brand’s ambassador, he is also set to work with creative director Stuart Vevers next month to begin designing his own capsule collection.
“I liked what Stuart was doing so we decided to move forward with me being the face of the brand,” he told WWD. When asked about his personal style, he said he spends more time thinking about roles he plays.
“As an actor, I’m always putting on somebody else’s shoes and becoming someone else,” he said. But, for his personal style, he said, “I like to dress for the occasion, but I always have to be comfortable.”
That includes rocking everything from “a very pristine” tailored suit to streetwear.
He admits though, that his ever changing physique (from his buff bod for Creed 2 vs his upcoming role a civil rights lawyer in Just Mercy does impact how his stylist pulls clothes for him. “My weight has an impact on what I wear,” he said.
