This year’s Emmys red carpet is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes hair inspo. We saw everything from dreamy back braids and sleek ‘dos to power ponytails and buns. But, we almost missed out on the deets behind Adina Porter’s textured fauxhawk.
Gah! The 100 actress gave us goddess vibes in a natural Hollywood glam look crafted by celeb stylist Tym Wallace.
Tym took cues from her Nefertiti-inspired look to crete the queenly look.
Starting on clean, dry hair, he applied a dime-sized amount of heat protector serum and blew her hair out using the FHI Heat Platform Nano Salon Pro 2000 (. He played up her natural texture using a FHI Heat Platform professional curling iron ($83.99) to create texture in her hair.
He then sectioned the hair into three ponytails, wrapping Indique Organic Curl extensions around each ponytail. Once wrapped, he brushed the hair into a faux hawk and set with hair spray.
To finish off the look, he created fishtail textured braids and made large Bantu style knots.
