Rapper Cardi B might be just one month into motherhood, but she’s still slaying red carpets. The I Like It rapper came through ‘dripping’ — including 100 carat emerald Lorraine Schwartz earrings — at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards in her first appearance since giving birth to daughter Kulture in July.
The new mom channeled old Hollywood glam, trading in her normally lengthy looks for a poppin’ feathered pixie crafted by Tokyo Stylez and dramatic smokey eye and face beat by Erika La’ Pearl while draped in a plunging magenta velvet Nicolas Jebran dress.
“I was inspired to create a more sophisticated look on her,” said Erika who has been painting Cardi’s face for more than three years. “Cardi’s a mom now, with a new perspective on life,” she said.
For her bronzed smokey eye, she used Pat McGrath’s MTHRSHP Subversive Eye Shadow Palette accented with purple lids To play up the eye drama, Erika created drew in a bold winged eyeliner paired with Kiss Lash Couture Triple Push Up Lashes ($5.99) in Teddy.
She completed the look with Pat McGrath’s Matte Trance lipstick in She’s Heaven. Scroll down for more angles of her fire look.
