Actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict is back at it with her Quick Fix hair tutorials. Last time we covered her hair how-to’s, she was giving us holiday hair life. Now, the mom of two is showing us how to rock a voluminous blowout on her natural curls without reaching for a blow dryer or flat iron.

Tia revealed when she first started straightening her hair, she was frying her hair with heat. “This is why I really love this approach — because you can get that straight look that you want without damaging your curls.”

For her tutorial, Tia starts off creating bantu knots on freshly washed, conditioned and towel dried hair.  She parted large sections of towel dried hair, using Leonor Greyl Detangling Milk ($48) and Kim Kimble Silk Treatment ($24) to help moisturize and condition her ends before twisting and rolling.

Once air dry, she rubbed a dime sized amount of Kim Kimble K2 Beauty and a drop of jojoba oil onto her strands to help straighten and smooth out each section a bit more before rolling with large velcro rollers. She let the curls set and dry before unveiling her final look.

Tip: For tighter kinky/coily hair, opt for smaller parted sections to help smooth hair out. Use smaller rollers for shorter hair.
