Serena Williams may not have taken home the Wimbledon championship on Saturday, she’s still undeniably the greatest athlete of all time. She’s made it to the finals (unseeded, at that) after bowing out of the French Open just months earlier due to injury.

Let’s break that down: At 36, she has risen 153 places to 28th in the world. This despite a heartbreaking loss to Angelique Kerber in only her fourth tournament since giving birth 10 months ago to daughter Alexis Olympia. Heck, she even won the Australian Open while pregnant.

Let’s say it together: G.O.A.T.

And, she represented for mothers everywhere. “To all the moms out there, I was playing for you today and I tried,” she said in an emotional interview after the loss. While she, herself, said she had “absolutely nothing to lose”, she did nothing but gain more of our love and admiration for her kick-butt attitude and dedication.

BONUS: Serena also filmed a new spot with Gatorade capturing that dedication, drive and pure will power — because she, in fact, played like a mother. Press play below.
