2018 has proven to be a winning year for singer-songwriter duo Chloe X Halle. The siblings just dropped their first full-length project The Kids Are Alright and continue to nab gorgeous fashion spreads showcasing their eclectic fashion flair and waist-length locs. In their latest editorial slay, the sisters serve up electropop vibes for Nylon April 2018 in a series of edgy print and color-blocked ensembles styled by Tara Nichols.
Their looks are completed with tousled updos and free-flowing locs coiffed by Kim McAllister and a vibrant palette of eyeshadows and nail polishes by makeup artist Christiana Cassell and Glam Squad nail team.
Inside, the teens talk about their intangible sister connection and making music together. “When we are apart on the rare occasions, we feel like we’re missing our other half and we feel empty,” revealed Chloe in the cover interview. “So, it’s so funny, even though we’re not twins, I really, really feel like we’re twins.”
The two also rehash their discovery story by Beyoncé, their new album The Kids Are Alright, and working within Byeoncé’s Parkwood universe.
”[Beyoncé] said to us, ‘Let the world catch up to you, because what you’re doing is outstanding, and it’s needed in the world right now,’” said Halle.
