Chloe X Halle are enjoying a major glow-up after landing roles in the hit show Grown-ish and dropping their debut album last month. Now, the acting/singing duo are showing off their flair for fashion in a new editorial spread for ‘Flaunt‘ Magazine. Styled by Mui Hai-Chu, the sisters are a high-fashion dream while posing it up in looks from Prada, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Erdem, MARNI, Valentino and Louis Vuitton.
Photographed by Robin Harper, their looks are completed with glowing beauty beats crafted by Christina Cassell and perfectly twisted locs styled by celeb hairstylist Kim Mcallister. Inside the spread, the duo opens up about their love for trap music, signing with Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment label, and their debut album The Kids Are Alright.
On signing with Beyonce’s Parkwood label:
“People really gravitated towards our Beyoncé covers,” Halle recalls. “Next thing you know we got an email from her company saying that Beyoncé liked our cover of ‘Pretty Hurts,’ and asking if we were signed. We didn’t even question if it was real or not,” Chloe adds. “We were just like, ‘It’s Beyoncé!’”
On their debut album:
“We’ve been working on it for three years,” Chloe says.“Since before our Sugar Symphony EP, since before our The Two of Us mixtape. It’s been our baby, I feel like we were birthing a child. Now I’m like, ‘What am I going to do with myself? Is this album postpartum depression?’ I almost lost my mind!”
