Let’s face it, there would be no beauty industry without women. We spend the most (especially Black women) on everything from hair care to skin care, yet we have not always had a seat at the table when it comes to ownership or even leadership.

Thankfully, that is changing as women are taking the reigns with beauty launches that not only cater to, but empower us. While we still have have a long way to go, women-owned beauty brands are lining the shelves of more and more retail giants, opening their own brick and mortars and innovating new products to answer our most pressing beauty concerns.
