With a Reebok sneaker line and the launch of the Fade2Fit activewear collection, 2017 was an amazing year for Teyana Taylor and 2018 is looking to be just as promising. Besides taking her talents back to reality television with the new VH1 show The Shumperts premiering in March, the Harlem native has decided to shake the beauty industry up with the upcoming opening of a nail salon!
Junie Bee Nails, adorably named after her 2-year-old daughter Iman “Junie” Shumpert Jr., is set to bring a 90s inspired experience to customers sometime this month. Sharing the logo via the ‘gram, Teyana’s vision for the salon will showcase “Dapper Don Style Uni’s, Door Knockers, Bamboo earrings, baby hairs, airbrushed nails” and a slew of other 9’0s staples.
In an effort to give back to her community, the Fade star is also calling for the most talented nail techs to join her team to make her new venture a success.
“No matter what shape, size, color, or gender it’s all good with us!,” Teyana wrote on Instagram. “I want to continue to create great opportunities for my community and our talented youth!!”
Congratulations are definitely in order for Teyana! Will you be visiting Junie Bee Nails for some mani and pedi action?
Teyana has revealed her new salon, located at 2330 Broadway in Harlem, will officially open Friday, February 16 with manicures start at $10.
