We love when major brands not only take note of our brown girl struggles when it comes to finding the perfect foundation, but actually also do something about it. We’re especially stoked when it comes from a makeup fave like Urban Decay. The beauty staple has just expanded its foundation offerings for darker skinned beauties and we are so here for it.
The NAKED SKIN Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup ($40) now comes in two new deep shades, bringing its total offerings to 26 calibrated hues. The first addition, 12.5, is deep with a cool, rosy neutral undertone and 13 is even deeper shade with a warmer yellow/olive undertone.
If you’re not already familiar with the demi-matte foundation, it is a light-weight paraben- and fragance-free formula that’s loaded with nourishing ingredients like Japanese green tea, Litchiderm (derived from lychee fruit) and anti-wrinkle peptides to revitalize and help reduce the appearance of fine lines, improve elasticity and protect against dehydration.
Urban Decay also added an “extra deep” neutral to its vegan NAKED SKIN Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($29) to complement the two new foundation shades. It is also a buildable to provide full coverage, yet lightweight enough to meld like a second skin without settling into fine lines.
The new shades are available at Urban Decay, as well as the major beauty retailers, including Sephora, Macy’s and and Ulta.
