Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas is serving up major fashion wins in a new capsule campaign with Nike. She has just been named one of the faces of Nike’s new Cortez by A.L.C. capsule sneaker collection.
Gabby first teamed with Nike in August 2016 for its groundbreaking Tech Fleece athleisure wear collection. Now, she stars alongside models Bhumika Arora and Cindy Burna for the new campaign showcasing Nike’s classic Cortez sneaker re-imagined by A.L.C founder Andrea Lieberman.
“The Cortez has always been my go-to shoe,” said shoe designer Andrea Lieberman in a recent statement. “I design A.L.C. clothes with a sneaker in mind, and I think people have started to style their daily outfits with sneakers in mind, too. The Cortez shares that ‘never not hustling’ spirit that define both the Nike Cortez and A.L.C.”
The Nike Cortez by A.L.C. features a suede finish with a faux snakeskin-print on the heel, brass lace tips and a second set of extra-long laces that can be wrapped around the ankles. It comes in three colorways inspired by A.L.C.’s Fall 2017 collection. Each features its own unique tagline on the sock liner.
The sneaker retails for $100 and will be available exclusively at Nike x Nordstrom sneaker boutiques and Nordstrom The Grove on August 25. The shoe will make a wider debut on August 28, via select Nordstrom stores, Nike+ SNKRS, Nike.com, ALCLtd.com and Net-a-Porter.com.
