ICYMI: It’s A 10’s Super Bowl Commercial Celebrates Hair Diversity

The makers of one of our favorite leave-in conditioners, It’s a 10, made Super Bowl history Sunday as the first-ever independently owned professional hair care brand to score a coveted commercial spot. And, they did not disappoint in delivering an inspiring message to celebrate “all hair” types.

The tongue-in-cheek commercial opened with an obvious Trump troll: “America, we’re in for at least four years of awful hair, so it’s up to you to do your part by making up for it with great hair.” It then goes on to highlight all the glorious types of hair we should be celebrating, from natural curls and undercuts to asymmetrical fades and avante garde ‘dos — and, of course, our own tresses.

“Now is the time for us to come together. This ad captures the true diversity within American culture – we are all perfectly imperfect in our own way,” said It’s a 10 founder Carolyn Aronson in a release.
