Alicia Keys continues her #nomakeup beauty movement for the latest edition of Net-A-Porter’s Edit Magazine. With her new album Here hitting shelves this Friday (Nov. 4), the singer talks about the new direction of her music — she has found the freedom to be an “aggressive bad ass” –, motherhood and how ditching makeup has “made her feel more beautiful and empowered than ever before.”

She rocked a bevy of natural curls and scarf-wrapped braids for the shoot styled by Pantene ambassador Chuck Amos with a light beauty beat (read: tinted moisturizer) by makeup artist Dotti who shared that she owes Alicia’s makeup free beat to diet, sleep, acupuncture and a jade skin-roller.
