The conversation on the acceptability of natural hair seems to be never-ending. From being shamed at salons and expelled at school to work bans, as Janice Celeste so eloquently put it, “It’s insanity at its best.” The founder/Editor-in-Chief of Successful Black Parenting magazine recently shared a video on Huffington Post to “educate those on the other side — the non-Black side” about our God-given tresses.

Titled “13 Crazy Things White People Think About Black Hair”, the animated video touches on all sorts of taboos and myths, from cleanliness and professionalism to whether or not someone can reach out and touch it — for the record, no!. Some points are also teachable moments for those who have never been on #teamnatural and don’t get why you are.
