Teen sisters Kayla Davis, 19, and Keonna Davis, 21, are changing the face of your local beauty supply store and making history in the process. The two recently opened up their own beauty supply store, KD Haircare Supply, and are now the youngest owners of a beauty supply store in California.

The Moreno Valley-based store offers everything from wigs and weaves to natural hair care products for all hair types. The sisters aren’t stopping with the basics, either. They’ve just partnered with 15-year-old entrepreneur to carry her Princess M Polish in their store and also look forward to opening more stores in the future.

The best part? Their history-making venture was inspired by their desire to find work.

“The day we decided to open a beauty-supply [store] was when we were out looking for jobs nonstop and couldn’t find a job,” said the sisters in a recent interview with The Root. “So in the summer of 2014, our mother … told us to “stop begging for a job and get your own business started”—aka “be your own boss.”
