DIY: How To Remove Your Gel Mani At Home

I love getting a good gel manicure. My nails are instantly dry and they last for two weeks without chipping and I do not have to stand for the harsh chemicals that I use to endure with acrylics. The only problem is that I can’t always get back to the nail salon every two weeks and my nails look crazy.

So every now and then, I need to remove my mani without damaging or scraping my nails. Luckily, I’ve mastered the in-salon process at home with some basic tools.

What you’ll need:

Coarse fingernail file
Acetone
Aluminum foil
Cotton balls
Cuticle (or vegetable) oil
Vaseline
Wood nail stick
