ELLE has released one of its most diverse cover series yet featuring two of our longtime faves Taraji P. Henson and Viola Davis, along with Bollywood (and now Hollywood) sensation Priyanka Chopra.
They are three of five trailblazing women (including Julia Louis Dreyfus and Olivia Wilde) featured on the cover of the glossy’s sixth annual Women In TV February 2016 issue. The issue also shines a light on 32 other must-see women on television right now.
The issue, which hits stands January 19, features interviews with each of the cover stars on their lives and loves – on and off the small screen.
Henson, who took home a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Drama this past week, serves in a red hot Marc Jacobs leather jacket and voluminous curls.
On keeping her award-winning role as Cookie Lyon on Empire real:
“It was very important to me that [Cookie Lyon] not be sassy and neck-rollin’ and eye-bulgin’ and attitude all the time. Everything she does is coming from a place of fighting for her family. That’s why she’s not a caricature.”
