For the past month or so, I’ve been using coconut oil only to moisturize my skin. Once I hop out the shower, I make sure my skin is a little damp so that when I apply my coconut oil, it’s actually sealing in the moisture from the water. It leaves my skin pretty moisturized and uber soft. The yummy light coconut scent is also a plus.
Coconut oil also works great as a makeup remover. I’ve never tried it on a full face of makeup, but it’s definitely great at removing stubborn eye makeup, like heavy eyeshadow or waterproof eyeliner/mascara. Tired of running through makeup remover wipes like water? Try coconut oil instead to remove the bulk of your makeup first, and then follow up with a makeup remover wipe to get rid of the excess. This way, you don’t have to use more than one makeup wipe at a time!
My lips have been super dry lately. Chapped, peeling, and that is not cute…at all! So, instead of buying a lip scrub, I made my own lip scrub using coconut oil, brown sugar, and a dash of honey. When I tell ya’ll my lips felt like buttah! Softer than a baby’s bottom!
