Fashion is such a universal language. From prints and patterns to casual and couture, fashion shows convey the energy of the season and the sentiments of the people. This weekend’s 10th edition of the ‘Afrik’ Fashion Show in the Ivory Coast was no exception. Billed as one of the largest fashion shows in the francophone world, it showcased creations by 14 designers from different countries.
The event, hosted at the Sofitel Ivoire in Abidjan, was part of a larger weekend which dealt with the politics of fashion and combating the theft of African designs and creativity.
