There are certain things you’re just don’t say to a Black girl about her hair! And one of them is that African American hair doesn’t grow.

That is completely NOT true!

African American hair grows in all lengths like every other ethnicity, from super short to ankle-length and beyond.

But, you should know that hair growth and genetics are tied together, in much the same as genetics determines hair density, color and texture of hair.
