Over the past few years, curly-haired actress Andrea Lewis has been focusing all her energy on building her web series Black Actress. In its second season, he series gives a comedic perspective on the ups and downs black actresses go through while navigating through the realm of entertainment. While the show’s focus is about issues that most—if not all—people of color directly relate to, Lewis doesn’t think of the show as “urban” and is instead giving a glimpse of what it’s like to be black.”
Lewis stars as “Kori Bailey” and writes the series, which is produced by fellow child star actress Tatyana Ali, Awkward Black Girl creator Issa Rae and Brian Walker. We recently sat down to speak with the former Degrassi star about the dynamics of her popular series, advice for others looking to venture in this realm, and of course, her beautiful hair.
