Wearing an Escada sheath dress and marvelous Jacob & Co. statement earrings, Viola Davis beamed as she received her Lifetime Impact Award at the Variety Power of Women luncheon over the weekend in Los Angeles. Gliding across the red carpets and onto the stage, the Oscar-nominated actress is a true rags to riches story.
“I was one of the 17 million kids in this country who didn’t know where the next meal was coming from,” said Davis in tears during her acceptance speech. “I did everything to get food. I have stolen for food. I have jumped in huge garbage bins with maggots for food. I have befriended people in the neighborhood, who I knew had mothers who cooked three meals a day for food, and I sacrificed a childhood for food and grew up in immense shame.”
Now lead actress of Shonda Rhimes-produced legal drama series, How To Get Away With Murder, Davis is showing us her chic style time and time again. Click through to learn how to get this sophisticated look.
