Celeb Spotlight: Diamond

Celeb Spotlight: DiamondDiamonds are known for illuminating a radiant light that shines with an immaculate beauty and the same can certainly be said about one of BET’s “Best Female Hip Hop” award nominees, Brittany Nicole Carpetero, who goes by the stage name, “Diamond!”

She first captured acclaim as one of the members of the group Crime Mob. When they released their debut single “Knock If You Buck” back in 2004, the song became an instant platinum-selling hit. It was then followed up with the single “Rock Yo Hips,” which also charted on Billboard, but in 2007, Diamond would soon venture off on her own path to launch her own solo career.

The rapper is currently working on her debut record after releasing a string of very well received mix tapes and LP’s, including “The Young Life,” which featured her latest single release, “Young Life.” Diamond is also the new spokesmodel for the Secret Kisses cosmetics brand. On her official website, Diamond says: “I love make-up, every kind of make-up, especially lipstick and lip gloss. Secret Kisses is a brand that I have used for some time so to be a part of the Secret Kisses family is an honor.” With all that Diamond now has going on in her career, she is definitely one to watch as her star continues to rise!

In this exclusive photo shoot, we get a glimpse of Diamond’s amazing style flow in this curve-enhancing, royal blue Ark & Co. dress. Her fabulous ensemble is coupled with an elegant ombre hairstyle that was created by hairstyling extraordinaire, Anji B., for Cosmetics & Moore Hair Salon, which is located at 315 Orange Rd. in Monclair, NJ. To recreate Diamond’s gorgeous look, apply a leave in conditioner and a straightening serum to your clean and deep conditioned hair. Blow-dry thoroughly. Next, silken the hair with a ceramic flat iron. Apply a light application of oil sheen spray throughout and comb it evenly through the hair. Using a medium barred curling iron, form spiral curls through small section of the hair. Use large hair clips to separate the sections as you curl. Spritz each curl with holding spray and then allow the curls to cool. Back-comb the curls to finish and style the look.
