Style and beauty guru Rihanna premiered her Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 fashion show last night, and baybeh, we’re STILL picking up our jaws from all the special moments throughout the show. No matter what race, size, sexuality, or background you came from, we all could see ourselves being represented in the fashion show. There were celebrity appearances from the beginning to the end, and we smiled, laughed, and even snatched our wigs when we saw celebs like Lizzo, Normani, Big Sean, and Willow Smith doing their thing.
The show included scenes of Rihanna’s story behind the creation of her new collection. Rihanna aimed to demonstrate inclusivity while expressing individuality through hair, makeup and style. Men and women of varying shapes, sizes, races and sexuality were featured. Every viewer was sure to feel some empowerment as the models and dancers strutted and danced across the runway with hair sculptures and dramatic glam looks, which we are willing to bet were from Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line. Scroll through to see the incredible beauty looks from the show that we just had to put a spotlight on.
The first scene featured a punk rock look. Dancers slayed across the stage as they rocked grungy mohawks and makeup inspired by pop art. The first performer, Latin singer Rosalina, stayed true to herself, rocking her lengthy white nails that were crystalized to the heavens!
The second scene featured vintage-inspired updos. Model Bella Hadid gave us a dominatrix tease as she strutted in a sexy black negligee wearing an up-do with exaggerated baby hairs, styled by celebrity Yusef Williams. Rapper Big Sean made an appearance sporting uniquely designed cornrows while singer Normani strutted ever so fiercely with a retro style complete with bangs.
Another scene of the show gave us Garden of Eden vibes as Rihanna made her grand entrance wearing an exaggerated braided style. Her makeup was dramatic, giving the appearance of butterfly wings hanging from her lashes and glossy lips. Her models were styled like characters from a fairytale with eclectic hairstyle different shapes and colors that wowed the audience.
I think all of our hearts melted as performer Miguel serenaded his fiancé Nazanin Mandi, who was also a model in the show. She danced along with her man, sporting an intricately-styled hair sculpture. Her glam, yet dewy makeup flaunted fluttery lashes that remained true to the garden theme.
The final scene of the fashion show was most likely a fan favorite. It featured various beauty looks from multiple celebs. Singer Willow Smith looked ah-mazing wearing her natural crown with a sultry glam look, while Nigerian/American rapper Chika wore her hair in a half up half down twisted style.
The Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 show was all about freedom of expression through style and beauty. No matter what walk of life you came from, we all could see ourselves through the diverse group of models and dancers on the show.
