In the beauty business, it can be challenging to create a makeup line, especially when the market is arguably oversaturated with tons of new and existing brands competing for customers. But Beauty expert, philanthropist and makeup artist Tie Cooper didn’t let that stop her from accomplishing her dream. On September 22, Tie will be launching her very own cosmetic line Beau Tie Cosmetics.

Her new brand aims to have a luxury appeal but with inclusivity in mind. The first product launch includes the signature Beau Tie Lipstick collection that features three classic colors: Diana Rose Pink, inspired by Dianna Ross; Josephine Tangerine, inspired by Josephine Baker and Dorothy Diamond, inspired by Dorothy Dandridge.

“With Beau Tie Cosmetics, we combine beauty and purpose with paying tribute to women of color that have lacked representation in the past and today,” she says.

Each lipstick is fabulously packaged in a blinged-out bow and offers a full coverage, satin finish with a dose of vitamin E for hydration. Plus, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Hi Beau Tea Party (HBT) – her annual scholarship fundraising event – to continue her initiative to help professionals and aspiring creatives further their education in the industry.

When Tie isn’t busy beating celebrity faces, working for national campaigns for companies like Revlon and Nike or making her mark in the world through her non-profit, she’s shutting it down in the corporate world, too. Yep, Sis works a full-time job while pursuing all of her other beauty passions, as well.

She tells Hype Hair that juggling it all is a “beautiful marriage.”

“I’ve learned to value both industries as they’ve both taught me an array of business acumen, marketing strategies, sales execution and exceptional customer service that I will need one to run my own business,” she says.

Well, that day has finally come, and the new makeup line is set to create change in the beauty industry by combining beauty and purpose.
