We’re all about a good DIY treatment and Kat’s Kurls is giving us deep conditioning goals with her at-home oil treatment. The beauty influencer took to social media to show off a mix of must-have oils from our friends at Hollywood Beauty for the perfect deep conditioner using the greenhouse method.

To get started, Kat used equal parts of olive, jojoba, and Jamaican black castor oils (all known for their hydrating properties) along with tea tree oil for its soothing, antifungal properties.

After heating the mixture in hot water for five minutes, she applied to freshly washed hair and wrapped in a plastic cap. She used a hooded dryer to add heat to open up the cuticles. After sitting for 15-20 minutes, she rinsed out with lukewarm water.

If your hair feels too greasy afterward, do a follow-up shampoo and conditioner. If not, simply follow up with your normal conditioner and style as usual.
