A star-studded virtual event will be happening on Facebook Live on Thursday, June 4, to support the Center for Safety & Change’s Emergency Victims Fund. The special event – Getting to the Center: Unmask the Violence and Abuse – will kick off at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The event is free, but donations are accepted.

COVID-19 has crippled many lives, resulting in hundreds of families reaching out to the center for assistance. The demand has increased by more than 60 percent, according to event organizers. The event will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness on the horrors of gender-based violence during the pandemic, while also raising funds for crime victims during this health crisis.

A slew of celebrities will be online for this event including Sharon Leal, Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe and special guest host Cathleen Trigg-Jones.
