In the midst of a global pandemic, it should come as no surprise that non-essential stores (wait, beauty isn’t essential?) have begun to limit hours or temporarily close.
This is serious, y’all.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues to release new guidelines limiting social contact via “social distancing” and limiting the recommended number of people gathering in public places, while cities across the U.S. have shut down schools, bars and restaurants, and more to help limit spreading coronavirus. San Francisco is actually on a city-wide shutdown.
And retailers are following suit. So, in case you’ve got cabin fever or feel compelled to just run out real quick to cop a new foundation or lippie, scroll down to check this growing list of national beauty retailers that have shut down. Good news: most are offering free shipping for online orders.
The retailer sent an email Monday night announcing it will temporarily close all U.S. and Canada retail stores today (March 17) at 5 pm with an anticipated re-opening date of April 3. All online orders will receive free standard shipping using the code FREESHIP.

The retailer has closed select stores across the country based on current city guidelines, as well as reduced hours (10 am to 6 pm) at all other locations nationwide. The retailer, which has locations in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and London, closed on Friday and will remain closed for at least the next two weeks.
Starting March 18, all locations will temporarily close. No reopening date has been scheduled as of yet.
