Their latest shoot takes us to the next level of royalty with a Disney-inspired shoot reimagining 14 iconic princesses. CreativeSoul shares that the magical images were a “personal project” by hairstylist LaChanda Gatson who not only created all of the hair looks, but also art directed the shoot.

“The mission was to redefine and reimagine the traditional princess with our own dash of style, culture and swag,” wrote the brand about the shoot which was two years in the making.

The shoot feature 14 young models rocking a series of kinky, curly, coily afro puffs, braids, and updos while draped in traditional Ankara prints as they reimagine such characters as Lion King’s Nala (above), Cinderella, and Aladdin‘s Jasmine.
