While #OscarsSoWhite had many turning a side-eye to the 92nd annual Academy Awards, we were happy to see many of our faves show up and show out.

With Matthew Cherry and Karen Toliver taking home best Oscar for animated short and Harriet actress Cynthia Erivo Harriet sang the film’s anthem “Stand Up,” we know there were going to be a few Black magic moments. The red carpet fashion was no exception — with Janelle Monáe pulling up shining like a whole disco ball and Cynthia giving us fairytale dreams.
