Rihanna just added another achievement to her growing list of accolades. She is now set to received the President’s Award at this year’s 51st Annual NAACP Image Awards.
While she has been taking A LOT of time to give fans new music, the entrepreneur has been busy with her business and humanitarian efforts. Particularly her beauty and fashion endeavors via Fenty, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty.
“Rihanna has not only enjoyed a groundbreaking career as an artist and musician, but has also distinguished herself as a stellar public servant,” said Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the NAACP in a recent press statement. “From her business achievements through her cosmetics line Fenty, to her tremendous record as an activist and philanthropist, Rihanna epitomizes the type of character, grace, and devotion to justice that we seek to highlight in our President’s Award.”
And that she has! From her humble beginnings as a songstress to becoming one of the most accomplished entertainers of our generation, the Rihanna reign just won’t let up.
The star has also conquered the beauty and fashion world. She has completely changed the landscape of the beauty world with the creation of FENTY Beauty, conquered the fashion lane by being the first woman to head a luxury fashion brand with LVMH and continues to break barriers with her lingerie line SAVAGE X FENTY, there is absolutely nothing she can’t do.
