[Close-Up] Rihanna Rocks Cornrows For Limited-Edition ‘i-D’ Issue She Curated

Rihanna just added magazine editor to her ever-growing portfolio. The Bajan baddie just collaborated with i-D magazine for her very own ‘Rihannazine’ limited-edition issue.

The special issue celebrates the glossy’s 40th anniversary with the first-time celeb editorial collaboration.


For the cover spread, she serves face in a moody black-and-white spread while rocking mini cornrows braided up by Naphia with hair direction by her longtime hairstylist Yusef.

Inside, Rihanna worked with the glossy’s editor-in-chief, Alastair McKimm, to handpick and feature women “who are progressively reshaping the communities across fashion, music, art and activism — creating a more inclusive and diverse future,” said Rihanna in a statement.

The visual zine includes features on Adwoa Aboa, Lena Waithe, Paloma Elsesser, Kitty Smith, Parris Goebel, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Rico Nasty and more.
