By now, it’s a given that everything Rihanna touches turns to gold. The RiRi effect is real. Not only does she move magazines, sell out launches and create her own trends, she also creates products that speak to, celebrate and recognize our individual beauty.
After slaying our lives with foundations, lippies, and everything ever needed for the proper highlight glow-up, she’s set her sights on creating the perfect mascara. And, it’s looking to be a game-changer.
Her new Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Volume Lift and Curl Mascara ($24) features an innovative two-in-one brush that promises to volumize, lengthen, lift and curl lashes. The brand’s first-ever mascara has a lightweight formula is also water and smudge-resistant.
“It is designed with a fat side that loads and lifts and the flat side defines and curls,” shares Priscilla Ono, Fenty Beauty Global Makeup Artist, of the new launch.
For those of us who hate that ashy grey look, this mascara is dubbed “blackest black” on the market,” Priscilla told E! in a recent interview. “This is actually the blackest it can get, and it has a really nice shine to it, so it makes your lashes look healthy and pretty.”
Rihanna also just dropped the brand’s first-ever eyeliner. The Flypencil ($22) comes in 20 matte, shimmer, glitter and metallic shades — with names like “Cuz I’m Black”, “Sea About It”, and “Black Card.” The hyperpigmented liners are formulated with a creamy texture that promises to be longlasting and water-resistant. We love that it’s a twist-up (because who has time for sharpening) with smooth, glide-on action with a triangular shape for line control.
The new additions are available now on her Fenty website, as well as at Sephora and Harvey Nichols online and retail locations.
