Haircare brand Curls gave us fashion life last month at their inaugural CURLS On The Runway fashion show in Dallas. Hosted by R&B singer/actress LeToya Luckett and CURLS founder Mahisha Dellinger, attendees were treated to hot lewks crafted by some of Texas’ premier Black fashion designers.
The all-Black-everything affair featured designers included J. Bolin, Esé Azénabor, Neo Bantu, J. Bolin, Mory Jay, Amy Hampton, Don Morphy, and Toni Grant who draped models in everything from Ankara prints and sequins and edgy streetwear to atelier bridal gowns and brocaded tuxedo jackets worthy of any international fashion week.
All of the models rocked kinks, curls and coils coiffed by Shan Marie Visions in looks like Bantu knot fauxhawks, twisted updos and down-to-there kinky inches that could easily translate from the runway to the real world. Unfiltered By Taye gave the models glamorous face beats with the help of lashes provided by Lushus Lash.
