Because there is nothing basic about Beyoncé, the beauty is leading the turn-up once again in the braids department. This time, we’re obsessing over beads and box braids in the new promo pics for her forthcoming Ivy Park launch.
Taking to Instagram to announce the January 18 debut, she serves backside and honey-blonde (i.e., #27 and #30) braided extensions adorned with cream and brick red beads creating the brand’s logo artwork.
Can we say epic AF? I mean, cornrow designs are one thing, but this? Yeah, we’re here for all of it.
The braids are courtesy of celeb hairstylist Kim Kimble and her styling team, including Kendra Garvey, Quita, Riss, JackiLyn, Lena Jayé, and Victoria Lee. Yes, because it takes a village to create epic hair.
For those wondering, beaded braid art is not new (so, please don’t start calling it Beyoncé beads). We saw something similar earlier this year in a beaded tribute to Nipsey Hussle and most little Black girls know all about beaded hang time. So, don’t.
Instead, enjoy this lewk and get into more of the visuals for Bey’s new history-making collection (which she rocked throughout her ELLE cover spread), which includes this new cream sneaker with brick stripes and jogger bodysuit.
