Toni Ko, founder of NYX Cosmetics, has just launched a new cosmetics brand. Bespoke Beauty Brands will debut its first collection in partnership with RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8 contestant Kim Chi on October 16.
The new launch comes after she sold NYX to L’Oréal in 2014. Toni told WWD that her “life goal is to build another successful company…I came here when I was 13 years old, a first-generation immigrant.
“My goal is to launch two brands a year…I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I can’t sit still and do nothing. I love building companies, but I love creating product. That is where my real passion is.”
The first Kim Chi Chic drop will include three ‘High Key Gloss’ lip colors ($8), eight glittery ‘Diamond Sharts’ liquid shadows ($8), a ‘Rainbow Sharts’ eye shadow palette ($29) and two hand-held, LED-lit mirrors.
“It was always my dream to have a beauty brand. It means so much to me, and I’m so excited for the release,” said Kim.
In a few weeks, the line will also release a rice powder-based setting powder named “Puff Puff Pass,” a cream eye shadow line, “Pot de Crème,” and concealer palette, “Undercover Hoe.”
Kim Chi Chic will be available online here beginning October 16.
