Aveda was one of the first companies to tout the need for all-natural and cruelty-free beauty offerings and nearly all of its hair, body and skin care offerings were also vegan — except for its lippies.

Now the beauty giant is changing that with the launch of its first collection of lipsticks and lip glosses that are free of beeswax and honey.

The new Feed My Lips Pure Nourish-Mint Liquid Color Balm ($29) comes in seven high-coverage colors and features a soft textured formulated with a rich cream finish.

The Feed My Lips Pure Nourish-Mint Liquid Color Lip Gloss ($27) offers up sheer to medium coverage with a lightweight with either a shiny or shimmery gloss finish that promises to provide all-day moisture.

Both lip offerings are 100% vegan, 93% naturally derived, and contain a superfruit blend of pomegranate, mangosteen, avocado, and acai. They also feature infused with certified organic ginger, peppermint, mandarin, and vanilla for a sweet, spicy, minty aroma flavor.

Even the packaging is eco-friendly: the caps are made with 20% post-consumer recycled aluminum and the curved tip applicators are made with 100% post-consumer fiber cartons.

The new Feed My Lip offerings will be available September 1 at Aveda stores, select salons and online.
