Jordyn Woods is enjoying the best glow-up ever. After pushing past cheating and friendship scandals with the Kardashian and Jenner clan, she has gone from socialite to beauty boss, fashion ambassador and is now serving face as the cover star for Cosmopolitan UK.
The rising model shines in a yellow-and-white denim look and high ponytail coiffed by Michelle Sultan and beauty beat by Francesca Abrahamovitch. Even better, the beauty shared that she was rocking several offerings from her new beauty ventures, including her Eylure LA Baby faux lashes she launched this past February and waist-length inches from her soon-to-be-released Easilocks Hair Extensions hair collabo.
“Only a few more weeks until you can get yours,” she wrote on Instagram.
In the cover story, she shares the new hair collabo is a passion project from her childhood hair experiences.
“I’ve been through such a [journey], especially as a Black girl,” says Jordyn. “Growing up, there’s always stories of getting your hair done, or your mum brushing your hair, trying to tame it. […] I’ve grown to not have a tender head at all and I enjoy getting my hair braided now,” adds Woods, who begged her dad to let her get her first weave.
She also talks good hair, Blackness and moving past the drama.
“I’ve had the privilege of not having to face it as hard as the girls in [that] school because of my surroundings, but now I have a clearer understanding of how this game works, and how people feel like it’s OK to say whatever they want. I know that I’m a black woman and I love being a black woman.”
On debuting her short look:
“The first picture I posted on Instagram afterward was a photo of me with short hair, which was a weave. I cut it; I just wanted short hair. I posted it and all the memes going around were, ‘Oh, Jordyn can’t afford hair extensions any more, she’s so broke.’”
On ‘good’ hair:
“Hair helps me switch my identity. Bad hair… What is [that]? There is no such thing. It grows out of your head. It’s a part of you.”
