The Queen did not fail to slay this weekend at the 2019 Wearable Art Gala. Beyoncé pulled up in full Lion King mode for the event hosted by her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson.

This year’s theme was “A Journey to the Pride Lands” — an awesome nod to Bey’s voiceover role as Nala in the new live action Lion King hitting theaters in July — and she did not disappoint.

The beauty took to Instagram to share her golden lioness slay, which featured a nude bodysuit with gold sequinned detailing for a lace effect, a lion painted on her chest with feathers for the mane and a draping golden cape.

She completed the look with a nude beat and long, bone straight tresses with a middle part.

Now in its third year, the annual over-the-top event benefits Mama Tina’s and her husband Richard Lawson’s WACO Theater Center, a nonprofit gallery and performance space.
