When it comes to over-the-top anything, you know Cardi B has got it covered. And this time, she literally, had it covered with $500K ruby nipples ($250K apiece) at the 2019 Met Gala Monday night.
The bejeweled accents came courtesy of Stefere jewelry house and were just the kind of extra AF accessory to adorn her custom-made Thom Brown gown.
Talking about extra, the oxblood colored gown took 35 people over 2,000 hours to make, according to the designer. It was filled with down, structured in layered tulle and silk organza to create twists and waves. It also featured bugle bead detailing and 30,000 burned and dyed coque feathers adorning her shoulders, the dress’ three-meter long train and matching headpiece.
Shout out to her stylist Kollin Carter for going the distance (pun intended) for consistently one-upping the Please Me emcee’s fashion game every time she hits the red carpet.
