More than one hundred beauty enthusiasts are expected to gather for Sister Spokesman’s ‘The Business of Beauty’ event this Saturday. Hosted as part of its monthly series dedicated to connecting and empowering women throughout the Twin Cities, Sister Spokesman’s beauty-themed event brings together local entrepreneurs who have made their passion for beauty their business. There will be a special guest panel talking about the power of Black beauty (and the Black dollar), a mini “beauty boot camp”, artisan and beauty vendors, and giveaways.
Hype Hair’s online editor Stephenetta (isis) Harmon will moderate the discussion featuring panelists Karen Coffey, owner of Bella Beauty and Hair, Tephanie Delaney and Kelley Eubanks, co-founders of the Twin Cities Natural Hair & Beauty Expo; and Nicole Pillow, founder of Inner Beauty Project.
The mini “beauty boot camp” will feature tips and tricks to up your beauty game (from the inside and out) -– including how to find the perfect red lip, 30-second exercises you can do at your desk, and beauty mantras to carry you throughout the day. Featured boot camp vendors include Anika International, MSDENISHIA, Wellife360 and Inner Beauty Project.
Swag bags for the first 50 attendees, including a free smoothie sample from Wellife 360.
$5 admission at door. A portion all proceeds go towards MSR 501(c)(3) annual scholarship and philanthropic efforts.
