Emily has naturally long and beautiful hair, but wanted to keep it silky straight and manageable. Philadelphia’s finest, hairstylist Summer Johnson for Celebrity Hair Studio,
showed her just how to maintain that polished look. The first step is to shampoo the hair using Cream of Nature Shampoo.
To lock in moisture, summer conditions the hair with Nexxus Humectress Conditioner.
Prosilk Straightening Serum is then applied to Emily’s towel-dried hair. This product prevents the hair from frizzing after blow-drying.
Next the hair is blown dry using a comb attachment. Keeping the ends trimmed is key to minimizing frizz. To clean things up a bit, Summer parts the hair into four sections and trims all of the uneven hairs.
A Chi Ceramic Flat Iron is used to create the silky and straight look that Emily is longing for. A finishing product that does not weigh down the hair is key for long wear, volume
and body. A light application of Prosilk Sheen Serum is applied to finish off the look.
This look can be maintained by wrapping the hair with a silk scarf before going to bed.
For an evening or semi-casual look, a big-barrel iron is used to create spiral curls. Hold Fantasia Light Hold Liquid Mousse one inch away from the hair and apply before using a curling iron for curls that last all night long.
