Getting artsy with your nails is a great way to add a little temporary pizzazz to your life. Why not plan a manicure party? It’s a great way to relax and catch up with loved ones. All you need is a bunch of your favorite people, and a few nail supplies.
Steps for a Manicure Party:
- Remove any old nail polish.
- Shape the nails using an emery board. File each nail tip from corner to center.
- Soak the hands in warm, soapy water for a few minutes to remove dirt.
- Push the cuticles gently back. NEVER cut the cuticles!
- Apply a moisturizing cream or lotion to the hands and cuticles. This will help prevent splitting of the nails.
- Treat the nails with a base coat. This helps the nails grow faster. Allow it to dry for a minute or two.
- Apply two coats of your favorite polish. This is where you get to live it up and experiment with trendy and bold colors. Finish the manicure by applying a coat of shine sealer (or top coat).
