Olympians Cullen Jones & Rowdy Gains Kick Off Make A Splash Tour!
The summer spring and summer seasons are definitely the time of year when our kids enjoy spending time at local swimming pools and beaches. But with seventy percent of African American children, 60 percent of Hispanic/Latino children and 40 percent of Caucasian children having little to no swimming abilities, they can definitely but put at risk. The Make a Splash initiative seeks to change these startling statistics through three key efforts: save lives by teaching children the lifesaving skill of learning to swim, raising national awareness of the importance of learning to swim and by bringing together a coalition of aquatic industry partners aligned to end drowning in the U.S.

Throughout the summer of 2013, the Make a Splash Tour, presented by Phillips 66 will host town hall style events in various cities across the country, featuring Olympians Cullen Jones and Rowdy Gaines.

After a near drowning experience at the age of 5, Olympic gold medalist and Make a Splash spokesperson Cullen Jones has gone on to become a dedicated advocate of water safety. "When formal swimming lessons are introduced at a young age, the risk of drowning is reduced by a staggering 88 percent,” Jones said. “Swimming is a critical skill for children to learn that can determine the difference between life and death in a matter of seconds. I am so proud to participate in the Make a Splash Tour again this year and work with the USA Swimming Foundation and Phillips 66 to educate parents and caregivers about the resources available in their communities.”

There are more than 600 Make a Splash partners across the country. To get connected in your area and for more information, please visit www.makeasplash.org.

My daughter is 4 and ended up getting ring worm. The shampoo the doctor gave us caused her hair to come out more. How do i get it to grow back, she is too young for weave braids, what do i need to use on her hair.
Hype Hair
Discontinue the shampoo if it is causing more breakage to her hair and ask your doctor for a milder version. Continue with proper hair care such a shampooing and conditioning weekly and moisturizing daily. Steer clear of hair styles that cause too much tension on the hair (tight braids, ponytails, ect.) and cover her hair at night with a bonnet.

IVE LOOKED AT THE HAIRSTYLES THEY HAVE ON HYPE HAIR BUT NOTHING FITS ME. REALLY, BEN TRYIN TO FIND THAT HAIR STYLES THAT FIT ME,I DONT KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO AT THIS POINT..."I NEED HELP!
Hype Hair
Weaves are a great way to experiment with your hair. They give you many options, from trying different colors to rocking a variety of lengths. They can, however, break off your hair if you are not careful. Take note of the techniques that you use to achieve the weaves. We suggest net cap weaves because they are less harsh on the hair. As for finding the right style for you, we suggest using our Hype Hair Virtual Makeover on our main page to see what you would look like in a variety of different styles!
