To say the legendary Naomi Campbell has been an icon would be an understatement. The ageless beauty holds an enviable list of firsts: first Black model to score the coveted Vogue September fashion cover, first Black woman to cover French Vogue and first Black model to cover Time. With nearly three decades in the game, she continues to give models half her age a run for their money. So, it only make sense that the Council of Fashion Designers of America is honoring her status with the 2018 CFDA Fashion Icon Award. Our only surprise is that the diva had not already taken home the top prize!

The Cut reports that Naomi will be honored June 4 at the Brooklyn Museum and joins an esteemed list of recipients — including Rihanna, Beyoncé and Pharrell Williams. Her fashion friend British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful will also be recognized with the Media Award. Other awardees include Donatella Versace for the International Award and Diane Von Furstenberg for the Swarovski Award for Positive Change.
Insecure star Issa Rae will be stepping in as the show’s first-ever woman host, so you know it’s going to be lit. We can’t wait to see who wears what!
