Meta Golding Talks Beauty Must-Haves & Her Secret To Great Post-Gym Hair

Meta Golding

HH: Let’s talk about your hair, it’s gorgeous! What’s your secret to keeping healthy tresses?
MG: When I’m not working, I try not to put too much heat on it. If I have the time, I will let my hair air-dry and put coconut oil in it.

HH: What products do you use?
MG: I like the Chi keratin line of shampoos and conditioners, Coppola shampoo and conditioner, The Roots Naturelle Edge Control and Lottabody Shape Me Custard Gelée.

HH: You keep it pretty chic on the red carpet, too. What are your some of your favorite styels?
MG: I do love a high ponytail—a high pony braid is even better. Long, flowing, beautiful hair with a gown is always great.

HH: What about casual days? What’s a great go-to hair look for you?
MG: Usually in a bun or a ponytail. Super easy!

HH: Any makeup must-haves?
MG: I am a MAC cosmetics girl! I use the concealer and I never leave home without a MAC lipstick in my purse.

HH: You’ve also got great hair and beauty secrets for the gym. Can you please share?
I work out and my hair can get sweaty so I will put dry shampoo in my hair before I work out so that my style is maintained. My gym has a steam room, so once in a while I’ll wash my hair there and put conditioner in it and sit in the steam room for a deep-condition. The steam is also great for my skin.

HH: You’ve also got great glowing skin. What does your skincare regimen look like?
MG: I use coconut oil to take my eye makeup off and then I wash with either a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or an anti-acne cleanser my dermatologist makes. Murad has a good one too. In the morning, I put on vitamin C serum—and I always use sunscreen.

In the evening, I cleanse my face—I just started using RoC Retinol that I bought at the drugstore, and I see a big difference in my skin. Then I will put on moisturizer, and I am always trying different ones. Right now, I’m using Josie Maran Argan Oil.
